Setup

1. Enable API access on Namecheap

Section titled “1. Enable API access on Namecheap”
  1. Go to Namecheap → Profile → Tools → API Access
  2. Turn on API Access
  3. Under Whitelisted IPs, add: 159.69.201.241
  4. Copy your API Key from this page — you’ll need it in step 3

2. Create your account

Sign up on the dashboard with your email.

3. Connect your Namecheap account

Section titled “3. Connect your Namecheap account”

From the dashboard, click Configure, enter your Namecheap username and the API key you copied in step 1, then click Verify.

4. Generate an API key

Section titled “4. Generate an API key”

From the dashboard, click Create key. This key is what you’ll use to authenticate with the CLI and the API.

Copy it — it’s shown only once.
